The artist

Don Bosco
Don Bosco is an oil painter working in the tradition of classical narrative realism between New York, Milan, and Istanbul. His practice encompasses portraiture, historical narratives, and figurative commissions.
Travel, history, and languages are central to his approach. In portraits, attention rests on the person and the objects that surround them; in narrative paintings, individual figures carry a wider story.
His work is held in museum and private collections. Revolutionary Romania was donated to the National History Museum of Romania in Bucharest. Other works include private portraits and narrative commissions, and La Cena, documented at Emilio’s Ballato in New York City.
“I combine my love of traveling, history and languages with art in order to capture the soul of people.”
